Introduction
“Do not use AI to create your posts.”
You must have heard this statement some time or the other, right?
But, do you think it is really possible?
Don’t you feel that you would be left out if you don’t use AI?
In this era, when there is a huge surge of content creators, creating posts without AI can prove to be a disadvantage to you.
Another content creator who uses AI can get ahead of you.
But, don’t AI generated posts sound robotic?
How can you make the language sound human like and make your posts engaging?
You shouldn’t use AI to write your entire post. Instead, you can use for specific purposes.
What are those purposes?
This article gives an insight as to how you can create engaging posts for social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, etc using AI tools.
We have mainly focused on using AI tools such as ChatGPT and Midjourney. Similar process can be followed using other tools as well.
Content Ideation
Creating new content everyday is not an easy task.
Once you have published your content, you may not have any ideas on which you can create content the next time.
Creator’s block is real and all creators suffer from it at some time or the other.
So, to overcome this, you can take the help of AI tools like ChatGPT.
A good thing about ChatGPT is that it is free and therefore can prove to be useful if you are just starting out with your creative journey.
For Example, I asked ChatGPT to provide 5 ideas for a post for a brand named ‘Fitvibes Studio‘.
Here is the prompt that I used:
“I want you to act as a social media expert. Brainstorm 5 post inspiration ideas to post on Instagram for the following brand:
Fitvibes Studio.
It offers dynamic group workouts, personalized coaching, and mindfulness classes to help people of all fitness levels achieve their goals. It also offers yoga sessions, personal training, and nutrition advice.
The target audience of this brand are busy professionals, fitness enthusiasts, and beginners seeking a supportive community.
The brand voice values are motivational, inclusive, friendly, and approachable.”
You can use the same prompt and edit is as per your needs.
ChatGPT will provide you with a list of ideas and you can choose one amongst the list.
Here is the list that I received from the prompt that I used:

You can choose any of these ideas.
If you are not satisfied with these, you can ask for more.
Generating Captions
Now that you have gained enough ideas for your post, it is time for the part through which you can engage with your audience.
Captions play a major role in engagement.
Most of your followers interact with you by reading your caption. So, try to make it interesting and engaging.
Even for writing captions, you can take the help of ChatGPT.
For example, to generate a caption pertaining to daily fitness inspiration, I wrote the following prompt:
“Brainstorm 5 captions for a daily fitness post to share on Instagram. Keep it original and focus on creativity.”
Based on this prompt, the response generated by ChatGPT is this:

I liked the 5th caption, but I still feel that it lacks something.
So, I will try to make some changes.
Here is the prompt that I used for it:
“Use the 5th caption and give 5 responses for this caption by following these instructions: Start this caption with a catchy first line which is a strong opinion or an unexpected view. Draft it in points and write it in such a way that the post becomes viral. Also, the last line should be in such a way that it motivates the audience to interact.”
Here are the responses that I received from ChatGPT:

I liked the 4th response.
But I still feel that the caption doesn’t depict the actual tone of the brand.
To change it as per your requirements, you can use this prompt:
“Rewrite the caption as per the following voice guidelines: motivational, inclusive, friendly, and approachable.”
And now, this will be my final caption:

I like this, so I will stop here.
If you are nor satisfied with the result, you can continue using different prompts until you get your perfect caption.
You can also use the response generated by ChatGPT as a template and then make changes manually in order to get your desired caption.
Add Hashtags
Hashtags play a very important role for he visibility and reach of your content.
Once you are done with your posts and captions, you should add appropriate hashtags for your posts.
But, it is of no use if you use random hashtags; the hashtag must be relevant to your post.
But, how do you decide the best hashtag for your post?
You have AI tools for your rescue!
You can use the following prompt:
“For the the caption, generate hashtags such that the visibility and engagement of the post will increase.”
For this, I received a list of hashtags that can be used.

You can choose any of these hashtags.
Make sure to use as many relevant hashtags possible for more visibility.
However, if you are not satisfied with these hashtags, you may also use other AI tools. To know more about these tools, click here.
Generate Images
You can use the post as it is.
But, you can better connect with your followers by posting pictures.
So, let’s include a picture in our post.
You can use ChatGPT to generate images. If you are using the free version, you can generate up to 2 images per day.
However, if you have a paid plan, then, you can generate multiple images; there is no limit.
To get an image for my post, I used the following prompt on ChatGPT:
“Generate an image of a man taking a mirror selfie after workout. Keep the background setting of a gym. Let the image be realistic.”
Make sure that the prompt you write is specific and exhaustive consisting of clear instructions as to the image that you want for your post.
Based on my prompt, this is the image that was generated:

I like this image and think that I can use it for my post.
If you don’t like the image generated by ChatGPT, you can also use other image generating AI tools like Midjourney.
Once you have the image ready, its now time to publish it.
But, before publishing, you should make the image ready for publishing and that can be done through Canva.
From the ‘Create a Design‘ option, click on the specific option according to the platform on which you want to upload your image.

For example, if you want to post the image on Instagram, you can choose the ‘Instagram Post‘ template.
I’ll choose the same as I want to post the image on Instagram.
You can choose other options as well.
Insert your image in this template and then you are good to go with publishing your post.

Edit Videos
If you don’t want to post any image in your post, you can also add videos in your post.
Adding videos helps your followers to engage and connect with you in a better way.
But, the problem with uploading videos is to edit them.
There are various AI tools for editing videos which you can use to make your work easier.
Further, you can use the same video and upload it on various other platforms by reframing it.
There are various AI tools that you can use for reframing your videos like Da Vinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Capcut, Final Cut Pro, etc.
Schedule Your Posts
Now that your post is ready, it is time for you to publish it.
But, can you just publish it right away?
Do you publish your posts as and when you finish drafting your posts?
Do you publish them at any time that you feel like?
You can do so, but it is not advisable.
Ideally, you should follow a fixed time for publishing your posts.
What is the fixed time?
You should publish your post at the time where the engagement is the highest; which means that a time at which your followers are the most active and eager to interact with you.
How do you figure out what is the right time to post for you?
Sounds daunting right?
To make this work easy for you, there are AI tools specially designed for this purpose and are called as the social media scheduling tools.
